Creating a skincare routine, the first thing to consider is your skin type.
There are four basic skin types, but I will add more as the more customized it is, the better effective the skincare routine you will create.

The second step is to know the basic skincare stages and what it entails.
So, let's break them down in no skincare routines sequence.
NORMAL SKIN; Gel cleanser
DRY SKIN; Creamy, milk-based cleanser
DRY(ACNE-PRONE); Gel hydrating cleanser.
OILY SKIN; Astringent and foaming cleanser.
OILY(Acne-Prone) Astringent/Purifying and BHA based cleanser
SENSITIVE SKIN; Non-fragrance, non-foaming, and milky based cleanser
MATURED SKIN; Oil and balm-based cleanser.
NORMAL SKIN; Lightweight and water-based moisturizer
DRY SKIN; Oil-based loaded with Ceramide, Hyaluronic acid, Aloe vera, etc.
DRY (Acne-Prone) Non-comedogenic oil-based loaded with Hyaluronic acid, Ceramide, Honey, and unscented.
OILY and ACNE-PRONE SKIN; Oil-free, non-comedogenic, water-based moisturizer.
SENSITIVE SKIN; Fragrance and alcohol-free lightweight moisturizer.
MATURE SKIN; Oil-based loaded with Hyaluronic acid, Ferulic Acid
NORMAL and MATURED SKIN; Physical and chemical exfoliation, AHA are the best choice.
DRY and ACNE PRONE SKIN; Chemical exfoliation especially BHA/AHA, 2 to 3x in a week.
OILY AND ACNE PRONE; chemical exfoliation, BHA/AHA especially Salicylic acid.
SENSITIVE SKIN; Enzymatic exfoliation
These include products to address specific skin issues and need, like acne, hyperpigmentation, wrinkle, rosacea, eczema, etc. The serum is usually the best choice as it's more concentrated and targeted.
A must-have in your skincare routine.
ACNE PRONE(DRY AND OILY), SENSITIVE SKIN; Choose mineral(Physical) sunscreen but lightweight.
NORMAL ANS MATURED SKIN; Chemical or Physical Sunscreen
